Why we love Rolex Watches
First and foremost they hold their value better than any other
item which might happen to find its way inside pawn shop.
I can’t remember a Rolex watch that stuck around for longer then three months.
Usually they sell in a few weeks, a pawn shop can never have to many.
This reminds me of a cool story.
One day a man came in to Big Daddy’s Jewelry and Pawn with some gold and asked us for a quote.
Naturally we gave him a good price for it. He told me the other shops he previously went to assumed he
was a bit naive to the value of what he had. He felt he good do better. It helps to have a bit of education for your
items, before you take them into a pawn shop. Instead of getting money for his gold he decided to show me
something else because he felt he would be treated fairly. He reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a old sock
and unveiled a two-tone stainless steel and 18 carat gold Daytona Rolex. He ended up getting a loan on it for
$1,500 and continued to do business for years to come.
